'64 MoPar Max Wedge STAGE III CYLINDER HEADS 2406518 BARE Dodge Plymouth 426 518

Description

For sale, one pair of bare 1964 Max Wedge Stage III cylinder heads.  MoPar casting #2406518.
These castings have been in a friend's private collection for decades.  I recently acquired them and had them hot tanked, shot-blasted, magnafluxed, and inspected.  I also had the machine shop remove several broken exhaust studs while they were there.
There are no cracks.  One chamber has a small repair on the edge - done a very long time ago - see photo.  There are no helicoils anywhere, and threads are excellent throughout except for perhaps one exhaust stud thread that might need attention.
Valve sizes are stock @ 2.08" and 1.88".  Heads have been milled at least once; I can see evidence of a light cleanup pass.  I have no way to know how much has been removed in total but I cc'd one chamber on each head; I got 89cc on one head and 90cc on the other, so they are still well within spec.  Heads have never had seats installed.
Heads are ported; it is extremely nice work.  Each head is stamped "Cylinder Head Engineering" no less than five times.  I don't know that they flow tremendously better than stock, but they sure look nice.
I had Dave Sarno of SCH Racing Heads flow test the heads.  Below numbers are @28" H2O:
.100" lift:  89 / 72cfm
.200" lift:  165 / 120cfm
.300" lift:  202 / 154cfm
.400" lift:  236 / 177cfm
.500" lift:  258 / 194cfm
.600" lift:  284 / 206cfm
.700" lift:  284 / 206cfm
Overall, these are extremely nice examples of a very hard-to-find head.  Heads will be shipped in individual boxes and insured for full value.
