Description

This is a like new condition NAD T787 4K 7.2 channel surround sound receiver.  It's one of the single best surround sound receivers NAD ever built.  It has a terrific amplifier section, much better and more substantial than 99% of other receivers available for sale these days.  It has two enormous dual toroidal transformers which provide superior headroom allowing the receiver to produce more than 115 watts per channel at 8 ohms, with all 7 channels driven.  At 4 ohms, the amplifier pushes up to 250 watts per channel.
This unit has been inspected, tested, and updated with a brand new NAD VM300 4K HDR video module (HDMI 2.0b)(4K 60hz)(4:4:4)(18gb/s)(HDR)(HDCP 2.2).  The firmware has also been updated to the current revision.  Cosmetically, it is a 9.5/10 with only a few very small scuffs on the corners of the front faceplate.  Functionally, it is a 10/10, with all features and functions having been thoroughly tested and confirmed, with all amplifier channels running strong.  The VM300 also supports music streaming like BluOS, Apple Airplay 2, and much more.
This receiver can also be upgraded in the future if new features are required thanks to the NAD MDC system.  MDC means modular.  That is to say, there is a digital audio card, a digital video card, an analog input card, an analog output card, and more.  Each of which can be upgraded with new cards if a new feature is released and you want to add it to your system.  For example, if you want to add Dolby Atmos, you
simply have to install the AM230 module, which will immediately add full Dolby Atmos.  Currently the audio module is equipped for THX Ultra II, Dolby Digital PLXII, TrueHD, DTS-HD Master Audio, 7.2 channel surround sound, and more.  If you want to add Dirac Live room correction, the same AM230 module would add Dirac Live to the system.
Finally, this receiver has Audessey room correction, allowing you to uniquely calibrate the system for the room(s) where your system is installed.  Simply connect the microphone and run the calibration tool.  The receiver does the rest of the work, optimizing many different aspects of the processors and sound output to make the system sound perfect regardless of where it's located.
