Sony STR DE845 Home Theater Receiver. Clean, Works perfectly, w/Working Remote!.
This was the golden age of "old school" meets new digital technology, and this receiver even has a real Phono input!
Automatically decodes Audio from the Cable Box and from DVD's to Dolby 5.1 or dts Surround using the optical or audio coax inputs.
You can use just 2 speakers for excellent sound, or add a subwoofer, or add a center speaker, or a full surround sound-speaker setup.
And you can just tell it to Auto Format Detect, and it will play all your favorite music in stereo, and send the lows to your subwoofer as the artist intended!
Even add another set of speakers on "Speaker B" if you so desire.
And the remote is so cool it even has its own display screen and its own operation manual!
You can use it to change the display on the receiver itself, for each input (if desired) as you can see on the powered-up photo with the work "Computer" on the receiver.
The volume knob on the stereo moves smoothly and quietly, like it did when brand new, with a touch of a volume button on the remote.
Gently used in a smoke-free, climate-controlled house.  Tested today, works great!

Batteries included with remote, but not installed in the remote yet - that's to be done by you.
