Description
Lot is for laser tube LG-126, very big and totally about 20-25 kg of weight. 112 cm long and 45 cm diameter. Was absolutely new when I found it, even in wooden box like in army used. Have no idea how to run it, but tried with my 30kV 20mA power supply without heating cathode - and it glow, but purple. Usually it means that tube will not generate beam, but this is unusual tube - so I dont know, maybe my power supply is too weak for it.Sale AS IS, for collection. Since it very hard to ship and I even don't know if that length could be sent by regular mail - better to write me before buy. But for those who not count money -
there is price 10000$ for shipping without questions
:) I accept selling it by parts if need - it would be even better and easier for me. Since skeleton of the case is made from invar metal, if I sell it for a crap - it will be about 300-500$, so don't make nonsense offers. Of course better to sell it for some collection or museum to not destroy such old unit.
It was made in USSR, but in Ukraine by "Polyaron" factory.
Laser LG-126
is a helium-neon three-wavelength laser that can operate separate radiation at wavelengths of 0.63 µm, 1.15 µm and 3.39 µm.
Using
common mirrors in the laser design, their relative immobility during the laser transition from one mode work on another allows you to combine with high accuracy and maintain throughout the entire operation laser path of radiation beams at the output of the emitter, which is very important, for example, when adjusting optical systems, irradiation of micro-objects, etc.
The three-wave laser LGN-118-3V can be used in various fields of science and technology, related to infrared technology, including IR fiber optics, communication lines, antenna alignment radio telescopes, etc. The need for such a device may also arise when developing systems secret security alarm, remote laser gas analyzers for methane leaks, etc.
The design:
. Three Invar rods with a diameter of 1.56 cm interconnected by aluminum plates of the same thickness. A discharge tube is attached to all this hardware. at the ends of the mirror.
View from the exit mirror. Most likely it is sprayed in three waves.
And here is the output mirror itself. Screwed onto an invar plate about a centimeter thick
Power connectors. High and heat and most likely something else. Next to it is the ignition button.
Ignition transformer. Parallel discharge ignition is used.
Presumably this all has something to do with ignition, resistors capacitor and spark gap
Wavelength selector knob
Fixed mirror 0.63 Has a standard golden color initially but throught the time seems coating was deformed. In general, the switching mechanism is simple. A triangular plate on which the mirrors are screwed. But most likely there is almost no play in the axis of rotation. Otherwise the settings would be lost.
Fixed mirror at 1.15. Very transparent. Although you can understand it because you can see the base through it. Have some chip, maybe because box was rude transported.
Fixed mirror at 3.39 In reality, it has the same color as an ordinary mirror. that is, silver cannot be conveyed in the photo. But you can understand that it is not very transparent
One mirror on the other side is also have deformed golden coating...
